We are more than just an annual Pride festival. We run a range of services, activities, social events and training throughout the year. On this page you will find information about all of those things. Please note that some of our services are currently running online via Zoom and others are suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please view our calendar for the most up to date information.
If you are LGBT+ and aged 12 - 18, Proud Youth is for you. It's a place to relax, be yourself, meet new people, and get some advice or support too if you need it. Proud Youth is free to attend and runs weekly in Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon. More Proud Youth groups are starting soon in Rugby and North Warwickshire. Visit the Proud Youth website for more information.
This is a monthly group for parents, families and carers of LGBT+ people. If you are struggling to come to terms with your family member's sexuality or gender identity, this group is for you. It's also a social space for parents, families and carers of LGBT+ people to meet others. Proud Parents runs on the first Saturday of each month from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Coffee #1 in Leamington Spa. There will be a Proud Parents sign on the table. Please visit our calendar for full details.
No Barriers is for LGBT+ people who have learning disabilities. It has a Facebook page, but also occasionally has socials. No Barriers is all about empowering LGBT+ people with learning disabilities to be part of the community, socialise and not be held back by their disabilities.
We host a whole range of socials for local LGBT+ people to enjoy, including a monthly coffee morning in Leamington, a regular trans group in Leamington, plus a monthly group and social in Stratford-upon-Avon. There are groups and socials coming to other parts of Warwickshire soon too. Please view our calendar to see what's happening. We also have a private Facebook group where LGBT+ people can connect with others and socialise. You can join the group by clicking here.
If you are in need of someone to talk to or would like some advice and support, feel free to email [email protected] or call/text 07580 532659 and one of our team will get back to you pretty quickly. You are never alone and we are here for you if you need us. We also have a private Facebook group where LGBT+ people can access support from our team of volunteers. You can join the group by clicking here.
We deliver a variety of LGBT+ awareness training courses to any organisation or person working with or for LGBT+ people, as well as young people. Our training is seen as the gold standard, with lots of organisations now working with us to ensure they are LGBT+ aware and inclusive. Please visit the training page for further details. We have also created a list of other support services in Warwickshire. Althought they are not LGBT+ specific, they can assist with issues such as homelessness, drug and alcohol abuse, sexual assault, crime and mental health. Please click here to access the document.
The Warwickshire Pride Sports Club is all about empowering LGBT+ people to become more active in order to boost physical and mental health. Every couple of weeks a sports activity takes place somewhere in Leamington or Warwick. All of the activities are suitable for people of all abilities and will always be fully accessible. Please view our calendar to see what's coming up.
We carry out a range of research projects to understand the issues that LGBT+ people face and guage the needs of the community. We write a report on each piece of research we conduct, and feed the results back to key people and decision makers with the hope of inspiring positive changes that make everything a bit better for LGBT+ people locally. Please visit our research page to read more about the research we have done.
To find out more about any of the services, activities, events or training that we run, please email [email protected]shirepride.co.uk or call/text 07580 532659 to speak to a member of our team. You will also find full listings of everything we do on our calendar page.
